Job Descriptions

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT The ideal candidate should have experience with QuickBooks Accounting Software, MS Excel and strong analytical skills.  The Junior Accountant will report directly to the Finance Director and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Payment Vouchers
  • Encoding transactions to QuickBooks and any other accounting software
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Posting of journal entries
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and other reporting requirements

Minimum Qualifications and skills

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or at least 3 years working experience in accounting
  • Hands-on experience working with QuickBooks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to multi-tasks and prioritise work effectively
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Highly confidential
  • Very strong work ethic

PROJECTS COORDINATOR-

 The high-level motivated candidate is required to oversee projects and ensure Forwards Funds are used for specific approved purposes.  The Projects Coordinator will report to the General Secretary and President.

Main Responsibilities

  • Draft/Review business plans
  • Drafts and review final project reports
  • Ensure that SOA requirements are met and reported
  • Maintain relevant documentation related to the initiatives
  • Coordinate with relevant departments
  • Ensures that all initiatives financed are delivered on time
  • Oversees the proper compliance with the Program Regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A few years of work exercise is desirable
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
