Islanders remain unbeaten, One Love dent Old Madrids top four push and Rebels close in on second Place in National League

As the F.A. National League continued over the weekend, One Love dented Old Madrid’s top four aspirations with a comfortable 3-0 win, the Islanders stayed unbeaten and the Rebels closed in on second place in the standings.

All the One Love goals all came in the second half with Richard Morgan’s opener in the 63rd minute followed by Trevor Ellis, who made it 2-0 in the 75th minute and Uriah Junior Baptiste who rounded out the scoring in the 87th, to make it 3-0.

The Islanders stayed top of the standings of course, still unbeaten, with the latest victims, the Wolues, handed a 5-1 defeat.  Youngster, Joshua Lynch netted twice in the second half to put the icing on the cake after Rohan Lennon and Kevin Fisher had made it 2-0 at half time.

Kevin Carragher pulled one back for the Wolues, but Fisher added his second to make it 3-1 before Lynch finished off the job.

The Sugar Boys and VG United were scheduled to play their local derby over on VG, but the only reports so far are that both teams failed to show up for the National League fixture and apparently opted to let their players play in the VG Community League instead

The Rebels then closed the gap on second place in the league with a 4-1 win over the Panthers, courtesy of goals from Carlos Septus, Kevaugn Watson, Elijah Toulon and Atebe Creese, whilst Andrew Morrison netted for Panthers
