Panthers 1 – 2 Lion Heart
Both teams seemed to be evenly matched as the possessions percentage seemed about the same. Shevaughn was the first and only player to make it to the scoring column during the first half. The action was intense as the game was littered with fouls from both sides. Referees did manage to keep things under control In the second half, Lion Heart managed to put another one at the back of the net. Panthers did receive a consolation prize however as Lion Heart lost focus and conceded an own bowl
Sugar Boys 1 – 1 Islanders
The feature match of the evening the home team sugar boys went against league leaders islander fc. The game was (intense) with action from start to finish. Although Islanders had a slight possession lead in the first half neither team being able to capitalize on goal scoring opportunities. With the game going scoreless into the second half both teams were anxious. Sugar boys patience paid off as Redhead, their number 7 made a fantastic goal in the 68th minute off a corner kick. This seemed to have to put Islanders in high gear as their number 12 Rohan returned the favour just 10 minutes later. Sugar boys and Islanders continued the exhilarating ‘tug of war’ match right up until full time stoppage
