“It was a good win, they are league champions so we knew it wouldn’t be a pushover, but we don’t fear anyone, respect them yes, but we were here to play” commented VG Utd manager, Jermain Abrams “I have to give compliments to the team, the coaches, Richie Morton and Glen Bascombe as well as the fans. The win was definitely a team effort from goalkeeper, through the defence and into the forwards. They all stuck to the game plan and even the substitutes didn’t let the standards we set drop”.
Attention now turns to the National League which commences this coming weekend at both the East End /Long Look National stadium venue and the Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground.
Ironically the schedule has thrown up an opening game of VG United versus One Love FC to be played at the East End / Long Look venue, 6pm on Sunday 15th October.
