A Michael Baptichon first half strike was the only goal of the game as the Rebels beat One Love on Sunday to reach a quarter final tie against VG Utd, which they won 5-4 on penalties on Wednesday 12th July, 2017.

The tie against VG was deadlocked 2-2 at full time after VG grabbed an early lead through Xavier John’s headed goal.

The Rebels equalized through Trevor Peters and then went ahead with a goal from Michael Baptichon, before Marknique Williams levelled the tie in the 84^th minute.

The Rebels scored all 5 of their attempts from the penalty shoot-out before VG missed their last.

The Rebels move onto a semi-final clash with the Sugar Boys on Sunday 16^th July at 5pm on the A.O. Shirley with, at stake, a place in the Final against the Islanders, which is scheduled for Sunday 23^rd July at the East End / Long Look Stadium on the artificial pitch.
